What better way to spend an afternoon in Algonquin Park than by exploring the forest trails from the back of a majestic horse? Saddle up, and head out to Gut Rapids along the York River.
Horse back riding offers an adventurous alternative to hiking our many kilometers of trails while experiencing the beauty of Algonquin Park. The ride will take you past creeks, rivers and many of our area’s lakes to scenic spot suitable for a pick nick. So pack a snack in your saddle bag and hit the trails!
This trip is ideal for those who do not have much time and wish to have a diverse adventure while staying with us. Our short trail rides are suitable for both experienced and novice riders as the trails and horses are available for all levels of riding experience. Guidance and instruction from experienced and certified trail guides is provided.We also have a 3 day horseback riding trip available.
What’s Included:
- 3 hours of guided horseback riding in Algonquin Park (with instruction as required).
- We have a 125 kg (275 lb) maximum weight restrictions.
- Children should be at least 6 years old to go on a trail ride.
- For children under 6 we have pony rides.
