Algonquin Park Spring Flowers
Spring in Algonquin Park can be a glorious time. If you go to northern Ontario during the right window of opportunity you get the spring flowers in full bloom, relatively dry ground for hiking, water that is no longer ice cold (well a BIT warmer than ice cold!), and some hot sunny days. Here are some of the early flowers we saw on our short hike last weekend at the Algonquin Eco-Lodge. Can you name any of them? Leave your answers in the Comments below.
And if you are a bit late on that “window of opportunity” then this is what you can look forward to! But, still be thankful, it’s the blackflies that pollinate the flowers and the blueberries we later pick for breakfast pancakes!
