This is an excellent program to introduce students to the joys of wilderness camping. A 4 day canoe trip is full of learning, bonding, new experiences, and fun.

Students will receive instruction on safe canoeing. They will learn the basic strokes, learn how to properly pack a canoe for a multi-day trip, and what to do in the event of a capsize. The group will paddle into interior lakes, do several portages, and set up camp on a lakeshore. The students will be shown how to put up the tents and then they will participate in the camp chores, such as collecting firewood, preparing the meals.
In the morning we will pack up camp, load the canoes, and continue our voyage. Along the way our qualified guides will point out various plants and animals, talk about the history of Algonquin Park, and answer any questions the students may have.
