This trail camera is a motion sensitive infrared camera that we set up alongside one of our many deer trails. During the winter the Eco-Lodge area is a "deer yard", meaning that the white tailed deer gather in this region. The snow and food conditions make it a preferred location for them, as a result we have hundreds of deer in the area. While we do see them from time to time, it is more common to see their fresh tracks crossing our ski trails. With this new trail camera we can capture images of them as the pass by, even when we are not there. Also, since the deer congregate in this area, so do the wolves. We usually find 2 or 3 wolf kills along our trail network each winter. We hope to find another one and relocate the camera to that spot to capture images of our local wolf pack.
We will update this page as we get more photos.

A wolf walks down the trail (by the tree in the upper right). Look at the time stamp between this photo and the next one below. That is our dog as we were walking into the Lodge. Only 8 minutes difference.
We were at the same spot only 8 minutes after the wolf had walked past!

We had a wolf kill! Unfortunately the wolves only come by in the dark, but the ravens are happy to feast during daylight.
