| When you stay at the EcoLodge you have the opportunity of creating
your own "made in Canada" souvenir - a canoe paddle! Our expert instructor will supply the wood, the tools, and the experience to guide you as you build a classic wooden canoe paddle. After this single day course your paddle will be 90% complete, and will only require a final sanding and shellac coat. You can do that the next day, if you like, and then actually use your own paddle on one of our canoe trips! |

Since this is a full day course, it is only available to people who have booked in for a minimum of 3 days. We can only offer it in the summer. People who are joining our Algonquin Explorer packages should find this option particularly interesting. While staying at the Ecolodge you can build your paddle on Day 2, finish it on Day 3, then actually use it on your 3 or 4 day canoe trip in Algonquin Park! Can a souvenir be any more "genuine"?! |
